Borneo rock cafe

Good place for breakfast, especially if you’re heading out for a snorkel or diving trip — their sandwiches and bagels are great for takeaway. I had a bagel with avocado and egg, and it was tasty. Coffee was average, but they do have oat milk available. Just a heads-up: the oat milk was so sweet I couldn’t drink it — I suspect it’s the brand, as I’ve had the same experience at another café nearby. Better to ask if they add sugar or check the oat milk ingredients before ordering. Limited seating available. The staff were super nice and efficient. This cafe has always been our last stop before leaving semporna to catch a ride back to tawau. The bagels and salad taste good. Brewed latte taste okay. It's a good cafe to drop by on a hot day :)

Food was not bad although surprised that they cooked the chicken and sauce in the microwave. Hazelnut latte.. can’t taste the coffee but oh well. Overall not too bad.

We had breakfast before diving, and we liked it so much that we had dinner the same day after the dive . They serve some European breakfasts, such as bagels with cream cheese, waffles, a ham and cheese sandwich, and ‘zapiekanka’. The food is really good, and it gets quite busy in the morning, but the service is great. Also, they have great coffee.

The best café in Borneo. Really recommend, i really liked the waffles they made. Jackson and the personal were really nice. You have to come here!!!!

In the first impression it could seem a bit western, but it’s not really… They don’t have a proper coffee machine. Only like in the picture. The waffle was fine. The open vegetarian sandwich (they call it Zapiekanka) was not good as you can see in the picture. The staff was friendly but service was very slow… The problem is that there are not many good options in the area for breakfast/lunch so that why I still give 4 stars.

The guys working there were so nice and friendly. I ordered roast chicken salad for breakfast, even tho it’s not really a breakfast dish but they still made it for me. The chicken was delicious, and had a bit of nutty flavour in it too, legitimately thought there was roasted cashew nuts in my salad without looking. They’re also very close to many dive shops around, great to grab a bite and hit the road
